Brenda Lewis, principal of Transactions Marketing, Inc., an area company specializing in
strategic development and launch management of business-to-business digital commerce
ventures, has been selected to instruct a new course in e-commerce at the University of
Connecticut's Stamford branch. The course entitled, B2B e-Commerce: Implementing Business
Process Transformation will be offered through UConn's Graduate School of Business
Administration and will focus on the history of B2B e-commerce, mapping business
processes, systems integration issues and tools to create and implement a B2B e-commerce
program. Working in teams of six, students will compete to develop a business plan to be
judged by a panel of angel investors. The winners will receive a free listing with
universityangels.com, an online network linking entrepreneurs with investors from leading
universities. The course will be offered in the fall semester and will include guest
lecturers who are leaders in the field. The B2B e-commerce course offering represents another element in UConn's expanding technology curriculum in the graduate business program. The selection of Brenda Lewis as course instructor emphasizes the university's efforts to attract industry leaders and provide its students with the most current course content available.
