The B2B e-commerce course offering represents another element in UConn’s expanding technology curriculum in the graduate business program. The selection of Brenda Lewis as course instructor emphasizes the university’s efforts to attract industry leaders and provide its students with the most current course content available. Ms. Lewis, a UConn Business School alumnus, has enjoyed a 30-year career in the development and implementation of real-time, on-line interactive communications and information systems with international companies including Exxon, Marine Management Systems and Pechiney Ugine Kuhlmann. She established Transactions Marketing Inc. in 1981 and since that time has managed the launch and start up of numerous B2B services including ventures in document transmission, voice messaging, remote metering, billing and customer care, telemetry, imaging, paging, VolP, transactions processing and network management systems. She has made significant contributions to her field in the last 15 years including the launch of PDQ for Telerate, the first wireless quotation service in money markets, the first professional financial services trial on AT&T’s Pocketnet (CDPD), and the first live Internet conference to due diligence standards.
